Preparation Hints
French Press
Start with 1/4 cup of Chai Mate per quart of water. Allow to steep in hot (not boiling) water for 5-8 minutes. Adjust the amount of Chai Mate according to your desired strength. Add milk and sweetener to your taste.
Iced Tea
Make a stronger brew by using 1/3 cup of Chai Mate per quart of water. Allow to steep in hot (not boiling) water for 7-10 minutes. Add milk and sweetener to your taste and pour over a full cup of ice.
Tea Pot or Tea Ball
Start with 1 tablespoon of Chai Mate per 12 oz cup of hot (not boiling) water. Let steep for 3-5 minutes. Adjust the amount of Chai Mate according to your desired strength. Add milk and sweetener to your taste.
Coffee Maker
Use 1/4 cup of Chai Mate per quart of water. Adjust the amount of Chai Mate according to your desired strength. Add milk and sweetener to your taste.
Try a Mate Chai Latte
Using your espresso machine, put slightly less Chai Mate in the espresso basket than you would use for coffee to allow for expansion. Pour in steamed milk and sweetener.
